Pentecost Sunday! Happy Birthday Catholic Church!
Today is the brithday of the Catholic church.. Pentecost Sunday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all Catholic brethren! Today is the confirmation of what Jesus on Mt 16: 18~19 left us the Catholic church....the one True church not churches the Church Jesus built upon Peter literally on top of Peters tomb! and figuratively faith handed down to the 12 Apostles which only Catholics can claim of descendancy...not faiths..but one faith.. but have we been burning coals..have we been true..have we been loving..have we been as faithful..loyal..or have we abandoned Jesus and the Church He built to withstand onslaughts of fear... hopelessness..immorality..unfaithfulness of both the people and those who serve :( ... may we hold on and not abandon ship at the first sight of the imperfect people God has put to humble us and keep our eyes on Jesus and His Church

And let it begin with me....
Praying for our #soldiers and their familys.. praying for the whole of Mindanao... its easier to be keyboard warriors/ commenters... than to be silent and pray for the #realwarriors outside.. the praying families ..the suffering families.. the displaced families.. so much is at stake than thinking of self interest or our right to comment ..we are supposed to be #OneNation .. #OneCountry .. islands may separate us but were no different from our brethren in Mindanao.. you dont like #martiallaw fine..but are you even aware of whats really happening there? Are you aware of the consensus of the Mindanaoans and how they feel? That your/our favorite politicians may have had a hand in this and could have stopped all these years ago..but may have been perpetrators or masterminds even? Or just because of their silence when they could have done something are just as accountable? The world is already in chaos.. let us be mindful in not adding our own personal chaos and bias and offer a prayer this Marian Month of May ..offer a flower to Mama Mary to aid the suffering..those who will be martyred :( and aid us in askingvthe Prince of Peace to quiet our own chaos ... so the ripple of disquiet may stop and let peace begin with us

the Significance of the Palms - PALM SUNDAY

oh and for those wondering why the icons, statues are covered? The reason for covering them during Lent is to remind us all that Lent is a time to focus on the Lords passion . .. also every PALM SUNDAY is our anniversary if we let Jesus make us His donkey, sharing our own struggles, joys as we travel with Jesus

DYING TO SELF

DYING TO SELF (a meditation, author unknown)
When you are forgotten, neglected, or purposely provoked and you don’t sting and dwell on the hurt, the insult or the oversight, but your heart is at peace, being counted worthy to suffer for Christ
–THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When your good is spoken of as evil, when your wishes are crossed, your advice disregarded, your opinions ridiculed, when you reach out and the door is closed in your face and you refuse to let anger rise in your heart, or even defend yourself, but take it all in patience and with love
– THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you lovingly and patiently bear any disorder, any irregularity, any unpunctuality, any interruption or any annoyance; when you stand face-to-face with folly, wastefulness, spiritual insensibility and endure it as Jesus endured
–THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you are content with any food, any offering, any climate, any people, any clothing, any shelter
– THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you never care to refer to yourself in conversation, or to record your own good words and when you can truly love to be unknown
– THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you can see your brother prosper and have his needs met and you honestly rejoice with him in spirit and feel no envy, nor question God, while your own needs are far greater and in desperate circumstances
– THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you can receive correction, reproof, encouragement, advice or exhortation from “one of less stature than yourself “and can humbly submit inwardly as well as outwardly, finding no rebellion or resentment rising up within your heart
– THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
Dear Father, Son and Holy Spirit, bring me to a place of humility before the cross so that I willingly die to myself in order that I may live in, with and through you alone . Amen.

In preparation for Lent..Confession
We all are sinners some more than us or some worst than us ..or we are worser ..and yet..daily we live where God could have easily snuffed us out.. God is just.. always have been always will be.. but Gods type of mercy is alot different than what we know and can perceive.. we must remember His dying on the cross ..THAT Merciful...even for future sins ... we have the Divine Mercy prayers..we have confession because God knew we would continually sin.. to enable hope for us sinners..we forget ANY SIN big or small is an abomination against a loving Father God ... and we forget that God in His wisdom.and love.. can still use people as He still uses us..can still use us.. each of us.. even in deep sin.. not just fully as He intended too... go to Confession
