... my mind cannot fully comprehend what courage, what trust , what confidence.... obedience and TRUE FAITH Joseph and Mary had. Such profound faith of Mama Mary to say yes to become the mother of God our Savior , Jesus. And Joseph so typical of us humans to think of running away from our worries and troubles and to do whats easiest, to escape, but Joseph could have opted out but he didnt, still thinking for Mary , her shame and her family's dignity, and with Gods prodding and assurance, comes through.
Imagining how hard the travel was for the family, Mary sitted on a donkey pregnant and close to her due, travelling day and night, wind and dust, the heat of the day and coldness of night til they reached their destination, Josephs determination and silent assurance and presence to get Mary and Jesus to safety in order to give birth comfortably
how deeply rooted in God both were, and so open to the spirits promptings , both were not called to understand but to trust.
Trusting God in everything , in every step of the way, to trust that God knows what He's doing and all for the best... God too trusted them so much!
Can we imagine Jesus doing less? i dont think so, He, the sum total of what LOVE, FAITH, HUMILITY, CHARITY, OBEDIENCE IS IT IS HE Himself, in all areas of His life from His birth and til death. He loved His parents here on earth so much. Then who are we not follow His example.
He loved both parents so much! He saved them prepared them for His coming, HE chose them, not you or me .He too learned from them, He was loved first by this two , the two human beings whom He loved the most.
