TRIBUTE to DADS

TO ANY LITTLE ONES FATHER- author unknown

There are little eyes upon you, and theyre watching night and day
There are little ears that quickly take in everything you say
There are little hands all eager to do everything you do ;
And a little boy whose dreaming
Of the day he’ll be like you
You’re the little fellows idol
Youre the wisest of the wise
In his little mind, about you
No suspicions ever arise.
He believes in you devoutly, holds that all you say and do
He will say and do in your way
When hes grown up just like you
Theres a wide eyed little fellow, who believes youre always open
And he watches you day and night
You are setting an example, Everyday in all you do: for the little boy who’s waiting
To grow up and be like you.


Id like to end this tribute to all Dads with a story:

Once the Duke of Wellington had a big feast after defeating Napoleon Bonaparte in one of the wars, and the elderly chief of his cavalry, and all other head of his chiefs or the regiments,were invited, the Duke boasted of his gem studded ring and in the course of letting every chief see it , it got lost.

He ordered an immediate search of all the pockets of the head of the regiments , save for one the elderly chief who didn’t let anyone search his pockets. Immediately all suspected and spread the word that it the elderly chief who pocketed the gem.

Another year passed and on changing his pants the Duke found to his consternation that the lost gem was only in his own pocket!...at once he asked someone to search for the home of the elderly chief, and went there,
there he saw how poor the living conditions of the elderly chief and his family were, and there he asked the elderly chief why on the particular night that he lost the gem, as to why the elderly chief did not submit his pockets to be checked.
And he answered “ Sir, that night, my pockets were so full of food and meat and other food I didnt eat so I could bring them home to my family who have not eaten for two whole days.
The Dukes eyes welled with tears and he cried, immediately he gave jobs to the elderly chiefs family.


So dads out there, through your children , you leave a legacy of good or bad, its up to you,
if you’ve been good you are indeed blessed if not, there’s still time.
